A Dark Line Appears on The Horizon

A Dark Line Appears on The Horizon is a weather report, a log of climate conditions from the inside outward in two locations (New York and Melbourne). These reports, collected over 2019, are a conversation about and a daily contention with the kind of sloppy data considered not to exist because not quantifiable. Using somatic technologies and image-based observation practices we look for the relationship between the breath in the throat the clouds in the sky—in search of the kind of true form that truly disappears when observed from inside.

The project comprises a book, video, print, installation, and performance.
